I cannot believe how fast the seasons seem to be passing by, pretty soon it’s going to be the holiday season. I haven’t made much progress on the ironing board, really would love to get those bindings done.
I always think of the story of the Elves and the Shoemaker and how when the Shoemaker goes to sleep the Elves make the shoes, wish they would come and bind my quilts. I am really thankful that my daughter will help me. If you wonder why I always leave everything on my ironing board it’s because I really like to use my ironing board and if things are piled on it they tend to get finished faster.
I have had two big finishes, at least the top is finished and to me that is a finish. I had two big projects I was working on this year, the Lancaster diamonds and the Rotherfields gray quilt, happy to say they are finished.
I was introduced to a shop called Primitive Gatherings at the AQS show this summer. I fell in love with everything in that booth, I bought something every day and since have ordered other kits and patterns. So many things to look forward to working on next year, so excited about working on some smaller projects, like a whole new world.
I love this time of the year, I love the cooler weather, the pumpkins, all the colors, doing fun things with the grandchildren. Just wonderful after the hot summer.
Take some time to just go outside and enjoy the beautiful sunshine and cooler temperatures. Maybe even do some stitching outside.
Also enjoy the pictures of my quilts.
Happy stitching ,
