Happy national quilting day, hope that you all found a little bit time to do some stitching. I went to a couple of Quilt Shops today and also ordered some fabric online. Had fun celebrating.
Remember thursday when I posted this picture of these mishmash blocks and squares, I thought that I would not be able to make anything presentable out of them. I did remove the little 3 inch red and white blocks as I could not figure out how to fit them in . The quilt actually finished 60 x 88. This finish was a little bit different than the others, I worked around the center block and worked my way out.
Started with the center star and just started adding squares around it.
Repeated the black inner border and started to add some of the blocks.
For some reason I decided at this point to turn the entire quilt the opposite way. It just seemed to look a lot better that way.
Added some nine patch blocks to the top and the bottom and just filled them in with other squares, I actually never thought I would use up some of these blocks in anything.
As you can see I had fun celebrating national quilting, I hope that you did too. Can’t believe that there are only a couple more projects in the Tupperware box. I’m going to miss working on them
