Happy stitching dear friends,
Staying warm here, The last three or four years at this time we had about 10 inches of snow total, we are almost up to about 60 inches already this year. January is the perfect time in Michigan to be stitching.
Took a couple more projects offer the ironing board, one I loved working on and the other one was really hard for me to finish it. The red work blocks are my daughters and appeared to find their way to my ironing board, I think she has seen my progress I have made, I am finding more of her unfinished projects there lately. LOL.
I also had some blocks from a swap in Shipshewana, I thought they would look really nice with those red work blocks, wasn’t my original plan but I thought why not combine them.
Just loved the way the quilt turned out, they are the old Ruby McKim patterns from the 1930s newspaper series. That quilt measures 50 x 60, the little cornerstone blocks were 3 inches.
After I finish that project, the next day I took this off the ironing board.
I pieced it together using large sections going across, and the quilt finished 70 x 81, it was probably the first of the things I pulled off the Ironing board that I did not enjoy finishing.
Hope you are enjoying the winter weather. Stay safe.
