Hope you’re finding some time to stitch, plenty of snow here in Michigan. I took the other sunbonnet block and the rest of the pieces and worked with them today. I set it a little bit differently from the one I did yesterday.
I took the center block and started adding the squares to the top and bottom of the block and then to the sides of the block.
I then added the smaller black and white squares around the quilt. It measured 36 x 40″ at this point.
Then I chose the biggest squares from the pile and added them next. It then measured 50″ x 52″
Added a couple more borders..
The quilt finished 60 x 70″. Put together again just like a puzzle, I had no idea what size the finished quilt would be. I was really surprised at how I was able to get two quilts out of the UFO blocks and squares. What was left?
Plenty of little squares, especially the black-and-white ones and the nine patch blocks. They will all be returned to the Tupperwares to come out another day and maybe I can use them in another project I need to finish.
