Good evening,
It was a beautiful day here in Michigan, cooler temperatures and much sunshine, leaves will be changing color soon.
Some of you have asked about how my progress is going with my 1930s orphan blocks. Sometimes life happens and things slow us down, have been having a MS flare up and spending a lot of time resting in bed. I’m hoping that by next week things will be back to normal and I will be at my sewing machine working on my blocks.
My son and daughter-in-law might be heading to Ethiopia this weekend to pick up their children, their adoption papers have cleared Embassy, can’t wait for those babies to get here. They’re also taking along with them 50 baby quilts to the orphanages, thanks to those that have helped make quilts or donated fabric for the quilts.
Hope that you all are finding some time to stitch, keep looking for those photographs of the 1930s orphan blocks.
Enjoy the beautiful fall weather.
Happy stitching,
Rosemary
I hope you feel better soon and I hope the kids will get to come to their new home with your kids soon.
Debbie
Rosemary, praying for a quick recovery so you can love on those babies and then you can quilt. Hugs and quilts, Lina
Rosemary, i had no idea you have MS. So do I, so I understand perfectly. I’m blessed to be doing very well but we have to listen to what our bodies are telling us. Take it easy and I know you’ll be back to your old self in no time!
Get well. Or as in Dutch: Beterschap gewenst.
Rosemary, I hope you’re feeling better soon. Good luck and safe travels to your son and DIL.
I enjoy reading your posts about your quilts and about your family. Please rest so that you are able to play with all your grandchildren.
I hope you are able to rest and and feel better soon. Praying that you will soon feel recharged totally in every way possible. Blessings! Praying for the safe delivery and travels of the little ones, with many smiles and an overflowing of love!
Hi Rosemary, thinking of you and hoping you are feeling better. Love keeping up with you on Facebook and blogs.
So happy to hear your family will soon be united with ‘their’ children…. God’s plan for them forr sure….. I’m saving my 30’s fabrics for the addition of some of your blocks – sashings and border research…
Rest as needed… praying for your rebound of strength and agility…
Enjoying your sharing of historical stitches…
