Hope you are enjoying the beautiful spring weather, we have had five or six new inches of snow this week. Last year at this time it was in the 80s, not complaining because I don’t want it to get that hot so fast.
I have been really busy working on blocks for the next book, here’s a sneak peek. Here is the pile of the blocks I have been working on, over halfway finished.
Not much of a peek but I can assure you the blocks are coming along well. Using 1800s reproduction fabrics, Originally I was going to use 1930s fabrics But it just did not work out that way. Not sure why, when I originally started quilting, all I used was 1930s fabrics and now the 1800s just keep calling my name.
Thought I would share a couple of photographs with you, my daughter and her husband and my oldest granddaughter are flying out to Ethiopia today to meet the two children that they will be adopting. Please keep in your prayers for safe travel. The two youngest children will be with me for the next nine days. Really looking forward to the time to hang out together. This is the first trip of two, they will be going back again soon and then they will get to bring the children home.
They are taking the first of 50 quilts, going to take another 50 the next time they go. Thought I would share the pictures, they collected 300 pounds of things to take to Ethiopia with them for the Children in the orphanages.
Have a great evening,
