I can remember being so excited to start a blog and that I would post once a week, I guess I have really fallen short with that. Guess life just gets busy. I am really not a computer person, I don’t do Facebook and I don’t do Twitter. Keeping up with everyday email is just fine for me.
I also remember starting this year with five Quilt projects that I wanted to work on for the year, the Phebe quilt was not even among them. I hadn’t heard about the Phebe quilt that was designed by Di Ford in Australia. I set out to make two of them, very seldom do I see a quilt that moves me so much that I think of making two of them. The first one is finished, I absolutely love it. It will be a wedding Quilt for one of my granddaughters. Next year I will focus on the second Phebe quilt. I have the stars already cut out and most of the center appliqué. It is just a quilt that takes time, wonderful time, it has been a great journey.
The next couple months are full of a lot of wonderful family events For the holidays, I love the holiday Family gatherings, there will not be much time for stitching. The girls and I are also heading down to Shipshewana for the dear Jane gathering, five great days full of some stitching and Plenty of laughter. Can’t wait to visit with everyone, have a piece of Amish pie, shop My favorite quilt stores, eat pretzels and plenty of donuts.
After Shipshewana my husband and I are heading out to Los Angeles and are going to spend some time at Disneyland, for those of you that don’t know, I love Disney. I have been to Disney land once but our family has been to Disney World 13 times.
Then we are going to Hop aboard a Princess cruise ship and sail to Hawaii for 15 days. It will be fun to do the Christmas shopping and holiday gatherings between Vacations.
I am working on posting some new newspaper quilt series, hoping to get back to you by the end of this week or next early next week.
Hope you enjoy the pictures of my Phebe quilt. Any questions, email me anytime.
Happy stitching,
Rosemary

Gorgeous quilt! I love Disney too…my fave place to go ever! Have fun!
Totally gorgeous!
Just wondering if you ever found that hill fabric for our Phoebe quilt. I have been looking for it forever.
I looked for ever for that fabric, I did not find it, a friend found a piece that she shared with me. It was just enough to do one hill . Lol I used the right fabric on one of my hills and the other hill, I just went with whatever fabric that look close enough. I am thankful I have finished both of my quilts and they are both at the machine quilter being quilted as we speak. I think I spent more time looking for that fabric than any other fabric.
