I hope that you are finding plenty of time to stitch as the weather gets cooler. I am so thrilled that the fall season is approaching, my favorite season of the year. Our family already has our date picked out to go get pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. Carving pumpkins is always one of my favorite things to do every year.
There is one more edit to do on the World War II Quilt book, Ouilts from the American Homefront, the book will not be coming out in the fall as I had hoped, we are looking at a release date of January 1. Here is a tentative cover, they are working on making some final changes until it goes to the printers which I’m assuming should be really soon. I think the quilt that was made for this book is my favorite quilt out of all the books.
My Phebe quilts are coming along well ,I’m having so much fun working on the quilts. I am making two of them, the pattern is by Di Ford from Australia, is an absolute wonderful pattern and very easy to follow. The pattern finishes at 86 in.², I am making mine a little bit larger and it will finish at 107 in.². I am making two of these for my granddaughters, Hailey and Sophia, even though they are only six in almost 9 years old, I’m hoping to have them finished by their wedding date. LOL.
I have finally bought some of the John Hewson panels, for some reason I just went back and forth on what to order and how much to order. Someday I would like to make a medallion quilt, of course I bought enough panels to make quite a few .
I’m not sure why but I have bought more fabric this year than I have ever bought. Finding some wonderful places to buy it on line and on eBay at really good prices. I also received these in the mail last week , a variety of a bunch of different collections from pomegranate, Ohio stars, Jo Morton, Judy Rothermel and others .
