I don’t think there are too many of you bundled up in quilts right now, especially if you’re living here in the states. It is unbelievable the heatwave that we are having, it just does not seem to let up at all. It is supposed to be around 100° here today, not even sure what the heat indices are supposed to be, definitely staying in and stitching.
I finished my lollipop quilt , it is hard to believe that it is a reproduction of a quilt that was made many years ago. The original lollipop quilt was made in 1855, it was made using red and green fabrics with a little bit of gold fabric thrown in. I used mostly Kaffee Fassett fabrics, So different from any fabrics that I have ever used, it has such a happy look. I’m sure that one of my granddaughters will enjoy this quilt in the future, it finished 115 in.².
I’m trying to stay really focused on one project right now, finishing that up and then moving on to another unfinished project. So far it is working, I have one thing finished.:) Back to the sewing machine, I will let you know what I’m working on next.
Stay cool, hope you’re finding some special time to stitch.
