I am amazed at the weather we have been having, a very hot and muggy summer here in Michigan. Today is another one of those days hot and muggy with many thunderstorms, we have definitely had our share of rain. The grass and flowers are doing wonderful here, for some reason today it made me think of one of my favorite newspaper patterns series. The Garden Bouquet Quilt.
It is such a delightful set of patterns, everything about it is delightful. The patterns were released in October 1931 and the quilt finishes 90 x 108″. I have download the entire set of patterns for you, when you go to the pattern download page, Hit the Garden Bouquet Quilt click here button, all 20 flower patterns, the bird patterns and quilting design patterns can be run off but will appear as only one PDF file. The PDF file has about 25 pages.
The patterns are so much fun even to look through, 20 wonderful flowers that are very whimsical, such as the Trillium, Poppy, Lily and forget-me-nots. Then of course you have the two Birds that are part of the patterns, they are called the saucy bird and the meek bird. Complete instructions and quilting designs are also enclosed.
The patterns themselves are very entertaining, if you read what is below, it is all about the Nancy Page club. It is written as what Nancy suggests for the blocks, her instructions for the club members is just something fun to read.I hope that you enjoy reading them.
Working on many projects here and enjoying every minute. I hope that you are also. Enjoy the patterns and enjoy your day.
