It is hard to believe that the month of July is almost here. I think the month of June flew by really fast especially with a couple vacations in there. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday weekend ,the weather here in Michigan is going to be steamy with temperatures about 90°.
I have not entered any quilts in a quilt show in quite a long time, I think the last time was in 1998, my good friend Barb Perrin kept encouraging me to enter a quilt in the Shipshewana quilt Festival that was held last week . My quilt won the viewers choice award, what an honor. the prize was this beautiful basket of fabric, patterns , books and other wonderful treasures . I had so much fun yesterday opening the wonderful basket .
I am keeping really busy with my quilting, working on my scrap quilt using the 1890s fabrics and I’m keeping caught up on my Barbara Brackman block of the week. I really want to start about another hundred projects or so. I think there are so many beautiful fabrics on the market and so many older quilts that seem to be popping up in museums or other places that are so inspiring.
Have a great holiday weekend, please let me know if you have any questions or anything I can help you with .
