There were quite a few of you that were wondering why June patterns were early, you were right, we were on vacation and I wanted to make sure that they were not late. 🙂 We have another wonderful vacation planned for June. We stayed at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, is a national historical landmark, built in 1887. I did enclose a smile box if you would like to see it.

I’m anxious to get back to my sewing machine, now that the next Civil War book is at the publishers, I will have plenty of time to stitch. When I first started quilting, I would start with one project and continue on the project till it was finished. I never understood quilters that had more than one project going.
That certainly has changed for me, for some reason this week I decided I am pulling out my dear Jane quilt. I like to revisit it and work on a couple of blocks. I have all my triangles and corners finished, I started backwards because I knew that if I finish those first, I would have to make all the blocks to put together. My first dear Jane I gave up too fast and just put 130 blocks together. I have enclosed a couple of photographs of my blocks.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday weekend , hope you find plenty of time to stitch . Happy Stitching,Rosemary
