I think that spring has finally arrived. My Sgt. crab is in full bloom, behind my Sgt. crab is my window from my quilting room. I sit there and have such a beautiful view outside and the absolutely love when my tree is blooming.
I have been keeping really busy, I have been spending most of my time working on the third Civil War book. I am really thrilled to say that the entire manuscript is finished and is now at the publisher. I think it is still slated to come out next May. If the date changes, you will be the first to know. As soon as I can give you more information about the book, I will let you know.
I have been working on the Barbara Brackman Civil War block every week, using my dargate fabrics. I’m having such a great time working with the shirtings with the dargate fabrics, also working on another project using 1890s fabrics with the shirtings . It amazes me even though I have been quilting for over 20 years , I am still inspired by so many quilts and fabrics. There is always another one that I want to start.
The block of the months have been posted for June, the flower garden block is a Carnation. I am so glad that so many of you are having such a great time working with these old patterns. The nursery rhyme patterns for this month are Mary, quite contrary and my son John . A couple of six-inch blocks to foundation pieced or make with templates and of course the Baltimore album block. The instructions for the blocks are posted online on the website along with the block patterns.
We have had a very rainy April and May here, everything is so green and beautiful. Flowers are blooming, birds are singing and temperatures are starting to rise. Have a wonderful day today, if you have any questions, please let me know .
