New patterns have been added for the month of March, even a day early. My Civil War blocks I am using a variety of fabrics that I bought in Shipshewana. I have about 20 half yards of various different fabric collections. I chose the fabrics that I did because they are bright for Civil War fabrics.
I really like the bright colors and I hope that you continue to enjoy working on the blocks. Please remember that you do not need to use Civil War fabrics to make the blocks, you can use whatever fabrics you have in your closet. I know that some of you are using 1930s fabrics and some of you are using whatever is in your stash.
Each of the 6 inch blocks are very easy to complete this week because they are completed using one foundation section and they are started in the middle. More detailed instructions are provided on the website where you will find the block patterns also.
The Baltimore block this month is a grape vine and the Detroit News flower garden block of the month is the Hollyhock.
The two nursery rhyme embroidery patterns for the month
are Jack Be Nimble And Little Tommy Tucker.
If you have any questions, please ask. In the meantime enjoy the patterns and have a wonderful day stitching.
Happy stitching and happy March,
