Here is my table with my sewing machine, I have a wonderful view outside at the front of my house. There is a little Crabtree right outside my window, last year I spent a month or so watching a mother Robin take care of her three babies. It is a wonderful view even when it is snowing. To the right I have a shelf with some Amish clothing that I have received as gifts, it always reminds me of the wonderful times that I have had in Shipshewana at the dear Jane retreats and camping with my family.
These are my two bookcases, they used to be completely full of books, I realized over the years that I had two bookcases full of quilt books that I never even used. Slowly but surely I have parted with them and I really have not missed them and it has given me more room for other things. I actually have one whole shelf of quilt books. Something you probably don’t know about me that you can tell by the picture on the top bookcase on the right are my survivor buffs that my husband purchased for me one Christmas because I’m such a survivor fan and a couple of American Idol souvenirs that a friend gave me.
You have seen my fabric closet already, this is my third wall. If you notice on the door of my quilt room, there is a huge poster of Justin Bieber. I am not a Justin Bieber fan but my four year old granddaughter absolutely loves him and she thinks she is going to marry him. The poster is there for her benefit. I think it is all about the hair, I remember having a crush on David Cassidy because he had such nice hair. Remember those days.
Here is another picture of my fourth wall, even though my quilt room is only 10 x 10′, there just is plenty of room to do what I want to do. I absolutely love the hardwood floors, I can roll around in my office chair and get to the things that I need to get to. I don’t think you need to have a large space or a large studio, a small space is just as great, you just have to find a way to keep it organized.
Here is one of my shelves with some of my favorite things, I hope that you enjoyed your tour. Have a wonderful weekend stitching, looking forward to posting the patterns next week.
