Welcome to my website and to my blog, this is definitely a new adventure for me. I hope it will be a fun place for you to be as well. My books and patterns and CDs will be available here as well as some free patterns every month. I am starting off with a Baltimore album block series of blocks that I designed. There will be 25 blocks in the series. A different block will be posted each month. Every month I will also post two 6 inch, one of the blocks will be my own design and one will be more traditional. It will be a good way to use up some scraps in your collection or pick a new collection of fabric to use. I really love the old patterns that appeared in the newspaper, I’m going to be posting quilt blocks that appeared in the newspaper in the 1930s. I am very thankful to the Detroit News for granting me permission to post the first series. One block will be posted each month. The first series is a flower garden appliqué quilt series, there are 20 blocks in the series and a special floral motif which is to be used on the 16 blocks for the border. The blocks first appeared in the newspaper on October 14, 1931 and they ran until January 16, 1932. Over time we will have discussions about quilts, quilt blocks, patterns and fabrics. Tutorials will be provided when needed. Any questions or anything you need help on, I would be more than happy to help. I just want this to be a fun place to be, a place where I can share my patterns and my love of quilt making with you.
