Good morning,

I cannot even tell you how much fun I had last week at the AQS show in Grand Rapids Michigan. It was like a whole new world, I discovered two booth that I absolutely loved. Primitive Gatherings and Lori Smith patterns.
Bought some wonderful kits and patterns. Just have really fallen in love with anything wool. Arrived home to order more patterns and thread. It is just time to switch to working on some smaller projects as everything I have always made seems to be king size.

Being truthful here, I spent a lot more time at the vendors that I did with the quilts. I am enclosing the smile box of the AQS winners and a special exhibit, Stitch like an Egyptian. The only thing I was disappointed in is that there seemed to be less quilts and vendors than the last couple of years.

My favorite exhibit of all was a group of quilts From an island in the Philippines, the quilts are absolutely beautiful and I just loved the colors, very very happy.

It is so great to have the show in our own hometown, the best part was spending time with friends, we also did a little bit of shopping, bought fabric by the bolt instead of by the fat quarter. LOL

I also was really excited last week when I mailed in the book manuscript for the sixth book, another one finished. It will be released sometime next year, towards the end of summer I think.

I have about three Lancaster diamonds to finish, that was such a fun project but I am thankful I am almost finished with them. Not going to hurry to put them together as I am still looking for a lattice fabric that I really like.

What am I working on next? I’m going to be working on three Quilts from Di Fords book., Rothfields grey quilt, Road 66 and the antique wedding sampler. Have been collecting fabrics most of the summer, really excited about the projects.

I am spending all my free time with my dear grandchildren, I’m really happy to say that the two grandchildren that my daughter and her husband brought back from Ethiopia in May are doing very very well. My son and his wife will be making their second trip to Ethiopia really soon to bring their children home . I will then have eight grandchildren, I am truly blessed.

More pictures later, enjoy the rest of the summer, it is going fast.

Take care,
Rosemary

Good evening,

The AQS show was absolutely wonderful, it was held in Grand Rapids Michigan this past week. I certainly wish that I could share my photographs with you but it is one of of the AQS rules that photographs cannot be shared online unless they are of our own quilt. One of my favorite things from the entire show was the exhibit of the tentmakers of Cairo. It was absolutely amazing and I’m so glad that AQS brought the exhibit to the states. I hear it is going to be at the AQS show in Iowa next.

My quilt, Shipshewana Happy Scrappy was in the show, it was fun to be there with family and friends.
