Some of you asked for more information and more photographs as I put together my next orphan block quilt. More than happy to do that. I guess I just find it so hard to believe that I have had all this in my closet and have never pulled out these before.
I am really excited because I have five large appliqué blocks to fit into this quilt. I only had one in the Civil War Orphan block quilt. The blocks are all unique sizes and different, they won’t be trimmed down, they will go that size into the quilt.
Here is what I have as far as the pieced blocks go,
43 6 inch blocks
11 4 1/2 inch blocks
24 4 inch blocks
118 4 1/2 inch Nine patch squares
2 16 inch block
A couple odds and ends sized Blocks, a nice variety of different sizes of blocks. I could even combine some of the nine patches together to make larger blocks.
I also have plenty of squares, triangles and rectangles of various sizes that were cut earlier for different projects that I probably will assemble when they are needed into the quilt.
Hoping to find some time tomorrow to actually start piecing the blocks together, will let you know how things go.
