Good evening,
I wish I was better at blogging , I tried all last week to put some Valentine’s Day patterns on the website but for some reason it would not work at all, lacking with computer skills. My children keep telling me I need to be on Facebook because I miss so much, it would just be another thing to learn about those computers. If I figure out how to get those patterns where I need to get them, I certainly will let you know.
Last week Tuesday was Paczki Day or fat Tuesday. My dad passed away in December but that definitely was always one of his favorite days of the year. He would go to the area grocery store, they would have a Polish band playing there and he would just sit there eating Paczkis and even dance to the music. I thought it would be wonderful to carry on the tradition so I took my granddaughters, glad they have more then Prune flavored Paczkis, That was the only flavor I remembered as a young girl. I didn’t like them. It was a special way to honor my dad that day and pass on some of my family’s traditions to my granddaughters.
I hope that each of you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day, received some beautiful red roses, my favorite flowers. Spent the day going to Valentine’s Day parties of my grandchildren at their elementary school. So much fun to watch them exchange Valentine’s, brought back a lot of memories when my children were little.
I know that some of you probably remember me making the Sarah Johnson quilt about three or four years ago for my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding. Since then I have been looking for more of the Sarah Johnson border fabric, just want to tell you never give up looking for a certain fabric, this weekend I found someone who had 8 yards of the Sarah Johnson border fabric. Cannot wait to start another Sarah Johnson quilt. I just Love making stars.
Speaking of stars, I have been working on my stars for my second Phebe. I need 140 stars and I have 80 finished already. I think each star is a separate adventure. I just love the journey of putting each star together.

Plenty of snow here if anyone needs any, we have had more treacherous driving weather than I ever remember. Keep safe and keep stitching,
Enjoy your evening,
Rosemary

Paczki Day with your grands — could not be better. So glad you are able to pass down favorite family traditions. Still thinking about your having 5 grands being born this year.
Every star an adventure. I like that.
It sounds like a wonderful way to spend the holidays and nice to keep the traditions alive with your granddaughters. Love your stars, I need to do more piecing and need to make myself a new quilt for my bed.
