I love to work with reproduction fabrics, I just love the look and I love what they create. The past month I haven’t been working with reproduction fabrics, I have been working with sock monkey fabric. My youngest daughter Amy is expecting a baby in April, her theme for the nursery is sock monkeys. Her nursery is full of sock monkeys, she definitely needed quilts to go with all the sock monkeys.

She really loved the fabric book, five monkeys jumping on the bed, she said she would get a lot more use out of it if it was made into a quilt. Here are six of the blocks from the book. Two of the squares were left and I turned them into a couple of little ribbon Blankies.

This sock monkey quilt was made with fabric that we purchased in Shipshewana at one of the dear Jane retreats. I still need to get the binding put on it.

I used extra fabric to make a couple of burp cloths,

Here are a couple more ribbon Blankies.

Tomorrow, I am hoping to just work with some of those reproduction fabrics again. There is just something special that draws me to those colors and feel of those reproduction fabrics that is like nothing else.
Happy stitching,
Rosemary where in Michigan where the temperature is only 16°and we are expecting a big snow storm overnight.
They all look so warm and cozy!! Lucky grandchildren!!
Snuggly and oh so cute.
Darling, darling, Rosemary. Now what exactly is a little ribbon quilt? Not familiar with that. Carrolyn V.
Adorable! I love sock monkeys…. so cute.
I like the design you used for the fabric, really cute idea. I need to decide on a design for my down under fabric, I want to make a quilt and accessories for a new grandson arriving in the spring.
